How to Take Your Business Global

Small businesses looking to expand beyond U.S. borders gained practical guidance and federal resources during the live webinar, “Ready to Take Your New Business Global? Export Ready, New York: Financing, Support and Pathways to Export Success.” Presented by the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) on February 26, the session focused on equipping New York companies with the tools needed to compete confidently in international markets.

The program outlined how EXIM’s financing solutions and export credit insurance can help small businesses reduce payment risk, extend competitive terms to overseas buyers, and secure new international sales opportunities. Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) detailed export-focused loan programs designed to strengthen financial readiness and increase capacity for global growth. Meanwhile, the U.S. Commercial Service highlighted how its global network connects companies with actionable market intelligence, vetted foreign partners, and in-market business opportunities.

The webinar reinforced a clear message: with the right financing tools, strategic guidance, and government-backed support, New York small businesses are well positioned to unlock international growth opportunities.
