Woman's Equality Agenda Passes Assembly

June 2013

GNYCC Chairperson Cynthia DiBartolo speaking at March 1st Albany press conference.
The NYS Assembly passed legislation that will  provide greater legal protection for women. Speaker Sheldon Silver believes “that the Women’s Equality Act ranks among the more crucial legislative agendas we have passed in the last decade.”

That is why the Chamber has been out in front working with the Governor and a coalition of over 800 groups to advocate for the Woman’s Equality. We know that when we protect all the people in our workforce, it leads to a more productive society.

Now let’s hope the NYS Senate can get this important legislation passed into Law.

NYS Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Mark Jaffe are both advocates for The Women's Equality Agenda
