Greater NY Chamber Celebrates World Trade Week at SUNY Global

May 2013

Mitch Leventhal, Vice Chancellor of SUNY with attorneys & SUNY alumni Charles Crowley and Mark Jaffe

On May 22nd the Greater New York Chamber hosted a reception in honor of 'World Trade Week" at SUNY Global located in midtown Manhattan  . The event started out with  Mark Jaffe, (a SUNY alumni) summarizing the successes of the Chamber. It was noted that members have exported "billions of dollars in products and services to dozens of countries around the globe" . Part of the reason for this success is the professional, full time staff that works daily on export efforts.

Second to speak was Dr. Mitch Leventhal, the Vice Chancellor of the entire State University of NY system. SUNY includes over 64 campuses and on-line courses as well as the SUNY Global Center.

Dr Leventhal was followed by another SUNY alumni, Charles Crowley, the Global Practice leader at Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A.. He spoke about  "Navigating the Import/Export  Maze".

The presentation was well attended and followed by reception which was catered by Thomas Oliver's Gourmet catering
