Chamber Celebrates Independence Day with the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen

July 2012

Mark Jaffe adds his own stitch to the National 9/11 Flag at 7/2/12 Independence Day Celebration held in the General Society Library
Guest Speaker Jeff Parness of the "New York Says Thank You Foundation" gave a patriotic address prior to the reading of the Declaration of Independence. “The annual event is very inspirational and it is one of the reasons that we our lifetime members of the General Society of Mechanics and Tradesman” says Jaffe. Jaffe also serves on the school committee of the Mechanics Institute (which like the Chamber) is housed in the Landmarked Building at 20 West 44th in NYC.
