Chamber Hosts Discussion On Ethics

February 2016

(l to r) Chamber CEO Mark Jaffe and Howard Teich of NDD with NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli
The Greater NY Chamber hosted a meeting at the Coffee House Club in NYC on February 11th with special guest speaker NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The meeting was cohosted and moderated by Howard Teich of New Democratic Dimensions and focused on what NYS could do to gain back the trust for politics that has taken a hit with over 20 NYS politicians being forced to resign because of ethical & legal problems. We at the Chamber always want to level the playing field for businesses, civic leaders and politicians who play by the rules stated Jaffe. There is a right way and a wrong way to accomplish your goals and we at the Chamber pride ourselves in helping our members and the politicians who represent us get it right! The first panel included Mark Jaffe , Howard Teich and Tom DiNapoli and the second panel featured moderators Susan Lerner of Common Cause and Sharon Nelson of the National Women's Political Caucuswho questioned NYS Assemblywomen Deborah Glick, Manhattan Boro President Gale Brewer, NYC Councilman Dan Garodnick , and NYS Senate candidate Robert Jackson on how to make politicians more trustworthy and ethical.
