Chamber Hosts Compliance Dialogue at Mexican Consulate

The Greater NY Chamber of Commerce works to keep our international members, exporters and our community partners in compliance with all labor and international laws. On December 8th, Chamber CEO Mark Jaffe promoted legitimate business opportunities at the Mexican Consulate in NYC. Professional business advice was given by agency heads and chamber professional partners. In attendance were Sharon Bradley and Brenda Stuart Luke of the IRS, Michelle Centeno of the NYC Comptroller's office and Christine Taveres-Hamilton of NYS Dept of Labor as well as many members and guests of both the Chamber and the Mexican Consulate. The important lesson of the day given by Mark Jaffe was to "join the chamber and let us help you stay out of trouble". If you want to do things correctly, join the Chamber as a Professional Member and they will guide you through the maze of regulations and rules . When you are a member, people know you have access to knowledge that will ensures your are doing everything legitimately and can be trusted. The Chamber can help international members and workers review all business plans, payroll documents and help keep them in compliance with US labor laws and IRS regulations.
