Black History Awards Reception
The Greater New York Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Black History Month awards breakfast on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. This year's honorees were Congressman Charles Rangel, 1010 WINS news anchor Larry Mullins, 100 Black Men NYC President Michael Garner, former NYC Veterans Affairs Commissioner Terrance Holliday and Black Shopping Channel CEO Cleveland Gary.

2016 Chamber Fair, NY's Longest Running Regional Expo Celebrates 15 Years
15 Years ago, the Greater NY Chamber hosted its first business fair to help rebuild and revitalize business & community after the horrific 9/11 attacks. It was a great success and we continue to host this expo which attracts hundreds of members and agencies.

Chamber Helps Launch FREE Public WiFi in NYC
Chamber CEO Mark Jaffe flew to Beijing China to help longtime member NYC Regional Center ("NYCRC") raise 157 million dollars to support the Link NYC free public WiFi project. This is the 19th successful project that NYCRC has been a part and they all have been important (like the Barclay Center, Steiner Studios and the Brooklyn Navy Yard).

Chamber Hosts Discussion On Ethics
The Greater NY Chamber hosted a meeting at the Coffee House Club in NYC on February 11th with special guest speaker NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The meeting was cohosted and moderated by Howard Teich of New Democratic Dimensions and focused on what NYS could do to gain back the trust for politics that has taken a hit with over 20 NYS politicians being forced to resign because of ethical & legal problems.

Anaplan Adds Jobs in NYC
On January 14th, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Anaplan's New York City office in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Helana Natt, Executive Director of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce and Cynthia DiBartolo, Chairperson, along with Anaplan's executive staff (Paul Melchiorre, Chief Revenue Officer, Dennis Dresser, Managing DirectorAmericas and Jim Rich, Area Vice President) cut the ribbon for Anaplan's new office located at One Grand Central Place in Midtown Manhattan.
