5th Annual "Trade Brooklyn" Expo
The 5th Annual Trade Brooklyn was held at the Brooklyn Marriot on April 15th, 2015. It kicked off with the Business Achievement Awards Breakfast, Jon Levin of Cardinal Trade Group (the producer of the expo) and Rob Basso of Advantage Payroll introduced Chamber CEO Mark Jaffe & Chamber Partner Paisley Demby of the LaGuardia Community College Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.

GNYCC Community Partner Yodle will be adding 250 New Jobs
On April 21st, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Yodle's new NYC headquarters in a ribbon cutting ceremony. President of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, Mark Jaffe, helped cut the ribbon for Yodle's new 100,000 square foot office in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of Manhattan.

On March 31st, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce (GNYCC) hosted a networking breakfast with a special presentation by Mr. Michael Feng Yong Ye, Senior Regional Executive of the US Market, on the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair).

Celebrating Women's History Month
Each year, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce Honors Iconic Women at its Annual Women's History Celebration Breakfast. This year the event took place on the big stage at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square NY.

Forbes Magazine Hosts Cyprus Business International Trade Delegation
Christopher Forbes, the Vice Chairman of the Forbes Publishing Company (Forbes Magazine) hosted the Cyprus Business International Trade Delegation Luncheon at the Knickerbocker Club. The timely event comes after a December 2014 publication by Forbes Magazine entitled "Cyprus: Moving Forward" which reported on the Cyprus recovery and its advantages for foreign investments.

Chamber Celebrates Black History Month
The Greater New York Chamber of Commerce (GNYCC) honored Legends of Black History at the Alhambra Ballroom in Harlem NY on February 26th, 2015. The annual event celebrates the efforts and work of legendary men and women who have profoundly affected their professions and society while inspiring countless individuals.

Affordable Housing in New York City
President and CEO of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, Mark S. Jaffe, spoke at the BALCONY Business and Labor Coalition affordable housing forum in NYC on February 4th, 2015. The forum came one day after New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio unveiled a five-borough, ten-year plan to support the goal of building and preserving 200,000 units of affordable housing in New York City.

The Greater New York Chamber celebrated World Trade Week at the World Bar at Trump Tower International by honoring Gloria Cresslar and Black Tie Productions on the tenth anniversary of their Grand Euro Ball held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in May 2004.

The Governor and the Chamber agree that voting yes for Prop 1 (Casino Gambling in NYS) is good for jobs and education.

We have had great success in the past working with the MGM /Foxwoods merger and helping the Empire Casino in Yonkers.
